Client: Marin Software
Role: Lead Art Director (sole designer on a 5-person flat team)
Tools: Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, Webflow
Timeline: 3 months
I led a complete brand and website redesign for Marin Software, a leading marketing analytics platform. The project aimed to modernize the brand’s visual identity, improve site usability, and better communicate the company’s value to enterprise clients.
Marin’s existing site was visually dated, inconsistent with updated brand messaging, and lacked responsive optimization. Navigation was cluttered, product benefits were buried in dense copy, and the mobile experience was frustrating to use.
Create a modern, cohesive site that aligns with Marin’s refreshed brand strategy, improves the customer journey, and increases engagement with key product pages.
Research & Audit
I reviewed competitor sites, conducted a UX audit, and identified bottlenecks in the navigation structure. Analytics revealed high bounce rates on product pages and low engagement on mobile.
Wireframes
I simplified the page hierarchy, reducing the number of clicks needed to reach product details. Early wireframes focused on clean layouts, scannable headlines, and prominent calls to action.
Style Guide
I created a refreshed color palette, typography system, and iconography set that reflected Marin’s position as both innovative and trustworthy. This became the foundation for all digital and event design moving forward.
Before: Overly dense pages with inconsistent styles, limited visual hierarchy, and outdated imagery.
After: A streamlined, visually cohesive design with generous white space, consistent branding, and interactive elements that guide the user through the product story.
The redesigned site launched with responsive layouts, optimized load times, and a modular design system for scalability. Product pages now feature concise benefit statements supported by custom graphics and animations.
